How to replace the Olympus endoscope cold light Source Lamp bulb?

1.Remove the bulb

  • When the inspection light is on, press and hold the inspection light button for about 1 second to turn off the inspection light.
  • Wait for a few minutes and let the bulb holder of the light source cool fully.

When the light source is turned on and the inspection light is turned off, the built-in fan in the light source will cool the bulb holder.

  • Turn off the light source.
  • Unplug the power cord from the medical wall power socket.
  • Screw the lampshade screw and remove the lampshade.
  • Make sure that the interior of the bulb holder is not too hot.If the bulb holder is very hot, install the lampshade, connect the power cord, turn on the light source, and then repeat steps 1 to 6 above.
  • Remove the hex wrench from the rear of the lampshade.
  • Twist the fixing button A90 degrees counterclockwise and release it.
  • Twist the fixing button B 90 degrees counterclockwise and release it.
  • Hold the fixing button or protrusion of the heat sink and remove the inspection lights with the heat sinks A and B.
  • Using a hex wrench, loosen the three screws on the heat sink B (on the “+” side of the inspection lamp, and remove the heat sink B from the inspection lamp.

There is a rubber band on the screw. Please keep all rubber bands carefully and use them when installing new inspection lights.

  • Remove the clip of the heat sink A, and then pull out the inspection light.
  • Use a clean flannel-free cloth to wipe off all remaining thermal conductive glue from the heat sink.

When replacing the inspection lamp, please use a clean flannel-free cloth to wipe off the remaining thermal conductive glue on the heat sink.If it is not wiped thoroughly, it may affect the heat dissipation and significantly shorten the life of the bulb.

2. Insert the bulb

Do not contaminate the glass surface and ceramic parts of the inspection lamp with thermal conductive glue.If the glass surface is contaminated, wipe it with a clean flannel-free cloth.Otherwise, it may cause damage to the inspection lamp and abnormal function of the light source.

Use sufficient thermal conductive glue. If the thermal conductive glue is insufficient, it may cause the lights to fail.

  • Hold the new inspection light and do not touch the glass surface.
  • Apply the thermal conductive glue with your fingers, and apply the thermal conductive glue very thickly and evenly to the electrode on the “+” side of the inspection lamp.
  • Insert the electrode on the “+” side of the inspection lamp into the heat sink B, and tighten the three screws with a hex wrench.

When inserting the inspection lamp into the heat sink, align its pins, and then tighten the screws. If not tightened, poor heat dissipation will cause damage to the equipment, the inspection light will not be on, and the life of the inspection light will be greatly shortened.

Confirm the direction of the rubber ring when tightening the screws. If the rubber band is not placed correctly, the inspection light will not turn on normally.

  • Apply the thermal conductive glue with your fingers, and apply the thermal conductive glue very thickly and evenly to the electrode on the “-” side of the inspection lamp.
  • Insert the electrode on the side of the inspection light “–” into the heat sink A.
  • Place the heat sink A and heat sink B so that the lower part is flat, and then firmly close the heat sink clip.

Be sure to fasten the heat sink clip.Poor heat dissipation may cause equipment damage, the inspection light is not on, and the life of the inspection light is greatly shortened.

  • Insert the heat sink A and B along the insertion slot into the bulb holder at the same time.
  • While pushing the knob, rotate knob B 90 degrees clockwise to the horizontal position.
  • Pull out the protrusion and confirm that the heat sink is firmly installed.

If the heat sink overheats due to improper installation, it may cause damage to the equipment or reduce the brightness of the inspection light.

  • Put the hex wrench back behind the lampshade.
  • Rotate the screws of the lampshade to close the lampshade firmly.

3. Bulb life indicator reset

If the inspection light is not replaced, do not reset the inspection light life indicator.Otherwise, an incorrect check light working time will be displayed.

  • Connect the power cord and press the power switch to turn on the light source.
  • If you choose to start automatically and the inspection light is on, press and hold the inspection light button on the control panel, the inspection light is turned off, and the “STBY” indicator light is on.
  • Press and hold the counter reset button on the control panel to check that the lamp life indicator is reset.Confirm that the life indicator of the inspection light shows “0″.

The counter reset button is not available when the check light is on.If you want to reset the inspection lamp life indicator, press the reset button while the inspection lamp is in standby state.

  • Turn off the light source immediately.
  • Adjust the AFI color balance according to the instruction manual of the image processing device or the AFI color balance bag .
